John Chambers has been Brophy Athletic Director for twenty-one years. As such, he oversees eleven sports and their 26 various teams with level programs that include varsity, junior varsity and freshmen. He also is responsible for insuring that coaches, trainers, athletes, and everyone connected with the athletic program demonstrates all the characteristic of the “Profile of the Graduate at Graduation.”
Mr. Chamber states, “Brophy’s athletic success has always gone hand in hand with the academic success of its athletes, making Brophy a special place. Brophy truly is a family.”
Mr. Chambers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from Arizona State University. He has been a member of the faculty at Brophy since 1969. where he teaches Biology. He is currently the Region Chair for the 5A Desert Valley Region and serves of the 5A Executice Conference Board. Mr. Chambers also is a Certified Athletic Administrator. He has previously been region chair for the former Fiesta Region and President of the Arizona Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
